ARK Hospitality is seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Regional
Director of Operations to oversee the performance of multiple
hotels and portfolios across Texas, Arizona, and Louisiana. These
properties include well-known brands such as Choice, Extended Stay,
IHG, and Marriott, with existing and numerous new builds set to
open this year and an exciting pipeline for continued growth.In
this role, you will also play a key part in overseeing both pre and
post-opening efforts for several new build locations, offering a

part of something exciting.ResponsibilitiesRevenue & Profit
Management:
- Manages all revenue sources, including rooms, housekeeping,
food and beverage, engineering, and other departments, ensuring
profitability across all areas.
- Creates and implements local and national marketing plans and
pricing strategies, with a deep understanding of market
segments.
- Responds quickly to changing market conditions, adjusting
strategies as necessary to maintain competitiveness.
- Reviews and monitors the hotel's performance regularly,
producing monthly financial reports and ensuring alignment with the
annual budget.Sales & Business Development:
- Actively participates in sales discussions, meetings, and
planning sessions; develops strong relationships with key account
executives and understands the business base.
- Tracks monthly production levels for each salesperson, ensuring
targets are met and performance is aligned with sales
goals.Operations & Departmental Coordination:
- Ensures all departments maintain strong working relationships
while striving for profitability.
- Implements programs that align with corporate goals and
objectives, ensuring operational success across all hotel
functions.
- Completes property Quality Assurance and franchise reviews
semi-quarterly, and evaluates overall operations regularly.
- Protects hotel assets by enforcing a preventative maintenance
program and ensuring the hotel meets all federal, state, and local
regulations.Human Resources & Employee Management:
- Oversees human resources functions, focusing on employee
development, retention, and motivation to reduce turnover.
- Conducts regular employee meetings to foster communication and
teamwork, ensuring all roles and responsibilities are clearly
understood.
- Promotes the hotel's policies and philosophies through direct
and indirect interaction with both employees and guests.Guest
Service & Satisfaction:
- Responds promptly and courteously to guest requests, following
up to ensure satisfaction and a positive experience.
- Maintains a professional image at all times through appearance
and behavior, promoting a positive atmosphere for both guests and
staff.Compliance & Accountability:
- Ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulations,
including OSHA, EEOC, Wage and Hour, and Health laws.
- Ensures that responsibilities, authorities, and accountability
of direct subordinates are well-defined and understood.Additional
Responsibilities:
- Reviews General Manager's marketing calls semi-quarterly to
stay informed on market conditions.
- Conducts area meetings with staff to review goals and
progress.
- Adheres to attendance guidelines as outlined in the employee
handbook and reports to work as scheduled.Other Duties:
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or
management.Qualifications
- Experience and proven track record of success with brands
including Choice, Extended Stay, IHG, and Marriott.
- Strong financial acumen and the ability to understand and work
with financial data and basic functions.
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems, spreadsheets, and
word processing.
- Ability to thrive in stressful, high-pressure situations while
maintaining composure and objectivity.
- A valid driver's license.
- Demonstrated strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills in speaking, reading, and
writing to ensure effective interactions throughout the
hotels.
- Ability to convey information and ideas.
- Competence in evaluating and selecting alternative courses of
action quickly and accurately.
- Proficiency in listening to, understanding, clarifying, and
resolving the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and
guests.
- Effectiveness in handling workplace problems, including
anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving issues as
