downtown Paris, Texas. Featuring live-fire cooking in a

work, live, and create lasting culinary memories. Position Overview
As the Sous Chef at Bon Fire, you'll serve as the right hand to the
Chef de Cuisine, helping to bring our unique concept to life. This
is a hands-on leadership role requiring culinary expertise,
creativity, and a passion for teamwork. You'll assist in menu
development, oversee kitchen operations, and play a key role in
ensuring an exceptional dining experience. Key Responsibilities
Menu Development & Execution Collaborate with the Chef de Cuisine
to design innovative, seasonal menu items. Ensure consistency in
dish preparation and presentation. Incorporate fresh, locally
sourced ingredients into the menu. Kitchen Operations Assist in
managing daily kitchen activities, including food preparation,
cooking, and plating. Oversee inventory, ordering, and storage of
ingredients. Ensure kitchen operations are efficient and adhere to
quality standards. Maintain standards and consistency through daily
line checks, ensuring proper station setup and quality control.
Team Leadership Train, mentor, and motivate kitchen staff. Assist
in scheduling and performance evaluations for team members. Foster
a positive and professional working environment. Quality Control &
Standards Compliance Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness,
safety, and food sanitation. Ensure compliance with all health and
safety regulations. Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure
excellence in every dish. Support the Chef de Cuisine Step in to
manage the kitchen in the absence of the Chef de Cuisine. Act as a
key point of communication between the front-of-house and
back-of-house teams. Additional Expectations for the Sous Chef
Leadership Presence: Serve as a role model for junior kitchen
staff, fostering creativity and professionalism. Culinary Passion:
Embody a passion for live-fire cooking and innovative culinary
techniques that align with Bon Fire's vision. Problem Solving:
Respond promptly to operational challenges, customer concerns, or
staffing needs with professionalism and efficiency. Collaboration:
Work closely with the General Manager and Chef de Cuisine to ensure
alignment in kitchen operations and overall restaurant goals.
Qualifications Experience: Proven experience as a Sous Chef or
similar role in a high-volume, quality-focused kitchen. Leadership:
Ability to manage and motivate a team effectively. Culinary
Expertise: Knowledge of live-fire cooking, scratch cooking, and a
variety of culinary techniques. Organizational Skills: Strong
inventory management and time-management capabilities.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Adaptability: Ability to thrive under pressure and in a fast-paced
environment. Education: Culinary degree or relevant certification
