Weekly Hours:40Summary:The Quality / Accreditation Specialist is
responsible for providing concurrent and retrospective review of
quality and regulatory issues related to patient care and other
processes within Cook Health Care System. Under the Quality
Management structure of CCHCS this position will work closely with
medical staff, hospital staff and leaders throughout the system to
identify opportunities recommend actions for improvement,
facilitate QI Teams and educate with regard to QI principals and
regulatory requirement.Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree with five years healthcare experience. BSN
preferred.
- Understanding of Quality Improvement methodology and
accreditation and licensing standards preferred.
- Must be proficient in use of word processing applications,
spreadsheet programs, database applications, and use of Web Based
technology.
- Oral and written communication skills, organizational and
interpersonal skills, ability to work with all members of the
health care team to achieve positive outcomes.
- Must be able to adapt to changing healthcare environment and
requirements.
- Working knowledge of a comprehensive health accreditation
programs and relationship with patient safety, risk management and
infection control).
- Analytical and problem solving skills.
- Ability to self-direct, good organizational skills, and
interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrates independent judgment, autonomy and initiative in
leadership skills, time management and organizational skills and
the ability to prioritize projects/functions in a busy work
environment.Certification/Licensure:
